There's nothing more fun than a road trip to the old. I like to take the road and explore our country. Now I have been a "Road Tripper" for some time and although as the air, I like the road trip, because that's how you can really experience the country. Then it's time to get your favorite music and snacks prepared and plan your route to adventure with these ten tips open road trip easier.
1. Plan your trip. First of all you need to decide what you are going to go and then plan your trip. The design does not need to take a long time, but you need to know the route you intend to drive, and places of interest along the way, you're going to want to stop and explore. Half the fun is a trip to see the sites along the route. I want my journey, and MapQuest is that my plan of attack to my road trip. GPS is very popular these days, and I commend them, but you can always count on them when you hit the areas of construction or accidents on the road. That's why it is important that you have a real map for the areas that you can travel to and plan alternative routes if necessary.
2nd Make hotel reservations before you leave. Part of the fun when driving on the road is to stop anywhere your heart desires, but there is nothing worse than "no room at the inn" experience on a road trip. You can not realize that there is a "Show Comic Book Trade", "Strawberry Festival" or convention in the city while you are visiting, and there is no room to have. If you book your reservations at the advance, you not only run the risk of having to sleep in the car, but you can not control your travel budget effectively. If you're traveling with your family or friends, consider staying in a hotel all -suite or even to rent a part of the time, a great opportunity for families to take a road trip. Did you know that 90 percent of people who own a timeshare not to use it on a regular basis? Many specials can be found at some of the largest hotel chains that offer timeshare and many of them even has a washer and dryer.
For my trip to Scottsdale, I booked a fantastic one bedroom suite with kitchenette at one point timeshare directly by the hotel for only $ 100 per night, including tax Villas Sheraton Desert Oasis.
3. Give your car a whole song before you go or consider renting a car. A week before continuing their journey by road, take your car to a tune and ask your mechanic to ensure automotive fluids are at the top, the air pressure in your tires at their best for highway driving, and any other issues necessary for your vehicle receives. If you need to get something fixed, it is best to do it in a trust before you travel. It may also be more expensive when it comes to a situation to. Also, be sure to bring a package of road safety, just in case of an emergency. For me, this kit includes my card member of the American Automobile Association (member of the prime minister). If you have a car that is out of warranty or automatic roadside assistance and an American Automobile Association membership is a necessity, as it will save a fortune in the unfortunate event that you have a failure and must be towed vehicle.
4. Pack your own food and plan a picnic. I used to be addicted to fast food is stopping at a road trip. There was something that seemed funny that trip, but since I learned that I prefer to pack their own food for my trip. It's not just me, eat healthier, but it also saves money, too, especially if you travel with your family. Also, if you think about the future, you may find that there is an ideal stop for a picnic scenic trip and pack a picnic is much better to fly a drive-thru. If you do not stop, or a picnic or explore a fresh spectacle along the path.
5. This is a great music or audio books with you! The music is really the soundtrack of our lives and every road trip needs a soundtrack. I think about my trip to Seattle Every time I hear Phil Collins' "No Jacket Required" because it was the music I was listening to the primary as well. I think the Harbor Island Bahamas, and an amazing walk through the Pink Sands Beach when I hear the music, Wilson Phillips. It is a kind of symbol for every holiday today, but feel the music will evoke fun memories of wonderful trips. I also like to reach the books I've read, but somehow easier to listen to. There are audio books and download them to your MP3 player, iPhone or other PDA devices. !
6. Do not forget to bring a bag boredom buster for kids. One thing I learned from the television production "The Travel Mom" Emily Kaufman, is that if you are traveling with children, make sure you have plenty to entertain during the road trip. She calls this bag boredom buster. Do not forget to bring a toddler music to their children, such as games travel games including fun magnetic board. DVD players are really an option for long trips and as long as your child is prone to car sickness. Of course, games will keep children busy, but I encourage you to limit the time of these toys, especially if you travel through some areas of great natural beauty. This is a great opportunity to unite as a family trip and the memory of your child be lost if you lose a Game Boy.
7th Remember, a trip is as much about the trip because it is the destination. One of my all time favorite trips was the route the day of my niece, Jessica and I drove 52 miles on the beautiful "Road to Hana" on the island of Maui in Hawaii. I will never forget the guide said, "Remember, Hana is not a destination, it's a trip." Hana is located approximately 52 miles from Kahului, but a typical trip to Hana takes at least three hours when the road is very winding, with about 620 curves over 59 bridges, 46 of them have a single channel. This wonderful tour is an unforgettable journey that winds through lush tropical forest, which is laced with waterfalls, black sand beaches, lava rock stage, stalls of fresh fruit, and tropical mountain slopes. Jessica and I stopped at least ten times, including a stop for a picnic on the beach of black sand. We took pictures of waterfalls, stands of delicious fruits and beautiful garden of tropical flowers.
You should treat your holiday road trip in the same way we went to Hana: Enjoy your road trip on a journey not a destination.
8. Take advantage of a break. I like my plan stops fuel, food and toilet so that I will use my time efficiently and not waste your time making three stops instead of one. Probably the most important thing is that every time you do not stop, make sure that all cars used in the bathroom (even if they think they do not need at the moment). This pruning is to stop you just for this purpose. Also, if you are traveling with children, and you only need to stop for the toilet, I recommend stopping at Starbucks. Parents can take a coffee or iced tea, toilets are clean, and there is a lot of distractions for children (such as toys to buy) that the truck stop or gas station might be. Use the Starbucks outlets on their website to help you plan your stops before you travel. Do not be a "good egg" and to buy a Starbucks while you're there.
9th avoid problems. When you are on a road, you must be street wise. Do not be a target for crime by leaving valuables on the seat of the car (DVD players, Game Boys, etc.) and do not announce that you're on the road with pillows and blankets everywhere. When you park your car, hide your valuables and Creature Comforts roadtrip. If you are proactive and keep your "I'm on a track road trip" clearly concealed, any thief or troublemaker just walk right by your car. Considerations Street Wise others are still at the park where there is good lighting and pedestrian traffic and ensure that your windows are rolled up and doors locked when you leave your car. You can also choose to purchase items such as "The Club" If you like the assurance of security. Finally, when driving watch your speed. Faster gives you the chance to get a ticket and, most importantly, it reduces your time to respond if the need arose.
If you are the driver, you are responsible for their passengers. When you see the signs that say: "Speed limits apply to photos," believe them. Other good driving tips, like avoiding peak hours, especially in large cities, and if possible take the drive with other people in the car. You also need to avoid driving at night if you are not familiar with their surroundings.
10th City Go Get a Card and save up to 55% on attractions and theme parks to your holiday destination. Last year, I stole my 8 year old niece, Alexis, and 10-year-old nephew, Tyler, Los Angeles for Spring Break (through reward miles south Airlines, of course) and we took a road trip to San Diego. That's when I discovered to save money City of San Diego Go Card. With this card saved me hundreds of dollars in admissions to Legoland, Wild Animal Park, San Diego Zoo and other attractions, including a Whale Watch on the Pacific Ocean while buying a Go San Diego Card.
Instead of paying separately for each of the local attraction, you pay a price for a maximum of 40 rides (depending on your stay in the city) and you get to create your own experience, tailoring your activities based on what you want to do while enjoying huge savings. Last advice: do not forget your cell phone and make sure that you are "hands free" when you use it while driving. In many states, the law, but also in the lower right dangerous. Always use your mobile phone "hands free" while driving. Do not forget to update your software on your mobile before you leave because you will not be charged higher rates for roaming charges. Finally, it is a great idea to send a copy of your itinerary with family or friends in an emergency - it is especially a good idea for women traveling together. Now run safely and have fun!
If you are at all worried that your current car is not "walk worthy", then you might consider renting a car for your road trip. I did it for my trip to Arizona when I found a lot on a rental car and peace of mind for my trip.
